Dichotomy
Ivan Ling
issue two.
a crowd of colourful souls
fresh curry in stacked tiffins
generational passing-down
joss sticks & coin tosses
still-attached chicken head
two gatekeeper candles
ding ding ding
ding ding ding
ding ding ding
ding ding ding
a murder of trumpets
auld acquaintances in white
moment frozen in afternoon heat
incantations & laboured breaths
his still coffin was carried in
to the furnace’s mouth.
