wild stallion

issue three

little hooves scraping – the beaten grass dirt – big eyes

opened mouth – gasping for more – happy life – always

with mother – likes the wind and galloping

daily sunshine mulling over the prairie – asters and stars

behind the hill – random fences – always feels like home

alright – a heart shaped locket in a layer of denim – a

piece of a soft smile in every step taken

nothing more than golden ranch – the thumping in my

chest – freedom with emerging wings – running through

endless fields of peaceful glory – the way the moon wanes

on the 23rd just for me – intentionally

potential departure – is there another liberation we don’t

know about – or are we scared of being unfamiliar – do

we make the right or wrong path – all i want – is to feel

my soul spilling out of my body – i wish it wants me to

stay – forage sounds nice – all i want – is to be
