John Grey
issue six
In this tiny world,
a frog is an excuse
for the air to sing,
even if only with a deep gulp
and a gentle splash.
And the dragonflies volume
is set to whisper,
tiny fish to underwater hum.
The music’s so simple,
my water-rippling
finger joins in.
On my cue, of course.
For, from its podium rock,
the head-bobbing turtle
conducts.
